Standard counseling sessions are 50 minutes long. We also offer extended sessions, which last 80 minutes. For couples counseling, we highly recommend scheduling an extended session.
We are in network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Additionally, if you have a plan with out-of-network benefits, we can provide you with the documentation you will need for reimbursement.
If you are planning to use your benefits, we recommend contacting your insurance company and asking a few questions:
- Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health (sometimes called behavioral health)?
- What is the allowed amount?
- What percentage am I responsible for?
We provide invoices, which clients with out-of-network benefits can submit to their insurance company for reimbursement.

How long therapy lasts ultimately depends on your goals. In most cases, our clients choose to meet at a frequency of once per week until they’ve started reaching their goals, at which time we begin to taper our sessions to bi-weekly and then monthly for a brief period.
Our professional time for your session is set aside specifically for you. If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 48 hours in advance, you will be responsible for the full cost of the missed session. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please make every effort to notify us as soon as possible.
